~Immunizations~
The Wilson County Health Department staff is committed to
keeping our Children free of vaccine preventable diseases. Our
Health Department participates in the state & federal Vaccine
For Children Program (VFC). VFC is administered at the
national level by the Centers of Disease
Center (CDC). CDC contracts with vaccine manufacturers to buy
vaccines at reduced rates. States are then eligible to receive
vaccine at a lower cost. For further information regarding which
children are eligible for VFC vaccine,

Wilson County Health Department also has private vaccine for
persons with insurance covering vaccinations. Medical billing is
provided for Health Wave, Medicaid, Medicare & Blue
Cross/Blue Shield insurance.

Department satellite office in Neodesha, located at 425 Main
